Mystery on the Ranch Phone Call

All of the cowboys needed to go move some cows so they put together some ranch hands to get it done. I was on the wrap around porch when the head of the ranch handed me their phone and I was talking to his kid as he needed to go take care of something. The first kid then told me he had to go so he handed the phone to the second kid which I recall sounder like he was younger due to his voice but then it started to get harder to hear him where I couldn’t make out any words. Then the third kid started talking and it was normal again so we hung up. I then recall going inside and asked what the head of the ranch kids names were which he responded but only one name sounded familiar. So in the end I had no idea who was talking on the other side of the phone.
